"Unique little place. Wasn’t sure where to stay last minute and this place had pretty good reviews compared to local hotels in Maggie Valley. I gave it a try and was actually impressed. The property manager greeted us and showed us to a cabin asked if it was ok. He waited for an answer and then told us about the local area. Really neat little town. 15 min or so from Maggie Valley and much quieter. Beds were comfy and didn’t move when my wife moved at night. Showers were really nice tiles from top to bottom. Living room was plenty for the 2 of us. Trust me I don’t normally leave a review unless I left upset. I would stay here again. Thank you for a good nights rest Wild Rest."

"The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The room itself is very basic—there was no mini fridge, and the microwave is located in the hallway near the ice machine. The staff was very kind and helpful. Our room keys didn’t work the first night, and the staff member was still very pleasant even though she had to come let us in with the master key. We were able to get working keys the next day on our way out. The bathroom could have used a deeper clean, especially the walls, but overall the room was acceptable. This is a very old building with a lot of history and character, which adds to the charm. Parking was a little tricky. There was only one space left when we arrived, so we were glad all four of us rode together. The building itself is fantastic. The long porch with rocking chairs and beautiful lake views was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The lake is gorgeous, and there are plenty of enjoyable things to do and see around it."

"I rented this house to accommodate relatives as we live right across the street. It was perfect, clean, and easy to use. The owners were easy to reach and access was also easy and efficient. "

"Beautifully renovated space with tons of room to spread out and comfy beds and seating. Note that the "kitchen" is comprised of a toaster oven, countertop two-burner stove, and microwave. It's adequate, but you certainly can't cook a turkey or a frozen pizza. Communication was fine but unnecessarily complicated. I booked through VRBO so I'd prefer to communicate through VRBO. Not sure why everything had to switch to Vacasa. The location is extremely convenient, but it's also this property's downfall. The creek is lovely to look at and listen to, but it's hard to hear between all of the loud trucks and motorcycles that pass directly in front of the house. Dump trucks crossing the bridge literally shake the house. There's a white noise machine to help drown out the noise for sleeping, but it was so loud during the day that we found it hard to truly relax. The porch off of the master bedroom was the only partial respite. If you are unbothered by loud traffic noise and trains and want walkability, stay here. If, like us, you find steady traffic noise bothersome, I'd suggest elsewhere. "
