"A great option for a family stay in Basel. We were travelling from the UK. Could sleep up to 6 comfortably but only one bedroom - with two double beds. Living room had 3 sofa beds - instructions provided to allow them to be flattened. Apartment was clean. Helpful touches were the two Swiss electrical adapters for the Swiss sunken style power outlets (normal round European adapters don’t fit!) as well as a kettle and toaster. "It was a terrible experience from start to finish. The flat reeked of smoke, communication with the host was awful, and to top it off, there were large spiders. I reported the issues to both Hotels.com and the host, but the experience was beyond disappointing. Would not recommend."

"The property was exactly as described in the listing. Loved sitting with a glass of wine on the outside patio after a long drive from Italy. Our children found the bunk beds very comfortable and the sofa bed was fine for my husband and I for one night. A great nights sleep and a hot shower before continuing our journey. The caretaker was a true gentleman and assisted us when we struggled to get the key back in the lockbox on check out. The communication with the owner was excellent. "
