"I loved the old world elegance, the location and the size of the rooms. There was a faded, old world charm that was uplifting and refreshing after years of corporate insincerity in the likes of Travelodge and Premier Inn.. The view of the inner garden from the 3rd floor was beautiful - summer evening theatre with the animals and birdlife. The staff were charming and reserved :)"
"Like many other hotels in London this has not been refurbished for quite a while. It was all very tired.
There was no air conditioning and because we didn't come back until late our windows had been shut the entire time meaning the room was absolutely boiling. There were two fans in the wardrobe thank goodness but opening the windows for us would have been a nice touch.
It just needs updating but was ok. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And it was nice to have large bath towels."
