The property was incredibly convenient, excellent location central to West Bay. Easy access to loads of dinning options, activities and services. Beach front bar is epic and pool side oasis is incredibly relaxing. Service was above and beyond what we expected, hard working staff puts in long hours to ensure a good experience, specificity Jose, Edwin (wait staff) Bret Fisher (activities) and Allan Brian (security)

This was our second stay. Both times were wonderful. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We tried several things on the menu at the restaurant during our two week stay and found that everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and looks as good as it tastes. The restaurant staff filled our insulated cups and ice bag with ice every day. The cleaning staff have the place shining. It always smells clean in the common areas. The front desk staff were also great helping us get...

Great property, beautiful location. I would say that they would need to allow some form of partnership with a taxi company or private service for those who want to be out past 10pm when the shuttle stops. I love that the staff will book excursions for you and allow you to make the most of your experience. I do think there is room for an all inclusive for the guests. Although I still paid separately to try each of the restaurants, I think there should at least be an option. Also , earlier...

This hotel is everything! Our room was as beach front as you can get and we loved mornings and evenings on the patio. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Every single person, including the owners of the property, were so welcoming and friendly…even the 24-hour security guards (we never felt unsafe the entire time on the island but it was just a little peace of mind). The food was very good and the chef was happy to accommodate my food allergies with swaps. We are already looking to...

It’s the best place not only for the location, but the pool, hotel amenities, restaurant, staff, and walking distance to all the best attractions the island has to offer. Minutes of snorkel away from the beautiful, colorful, amazing coral reef.

We made our plans at the last minute and found the West Bay Lodge through Expedia. We booked two rooms, one for us and one for the kids. We received an email shortly after booking asking about our plans, any special requests, etc. I thought that was nice. Since we were staying over the course of a week the hotel had a driver meet us at the airport and drive us to the lodge. Upon arrival they let us know that we couldn't get two adjoining rooms since we had only booked the day before but...

Note even one complaint.. Excellent in all areas, very pleased.!

From the Minute we were greeted at the airport, we felt special. We were picked up on time and driven to our hotel where We were given a welcome drink and shown to our room. The hotel surpassed our expectations as we weren't sure about the location from the map. We had a room with an amazing view of the water and sunsets. It was a 3 min walk in either direction to get to the beaches and the local restaurants were all within an easy walk. we could also walk to Gumbalimba Park and one of the...

The West Bay Colonial hotel itself was good, but it was the staff that made it an excellent experience. From the moment Will picked us up from the airport until George took us back, every staff member at the hotel was very accommodating and friendly. The only downside to the hotel was that there was no alcohol served on-site, but there were several places just across the street and down on the beach (which was a quick 2 minute walk).

Perfect location right on the beach. Close to restaurants and shops. Hotel was clean and had delicious breakfast.

This was our 5th time to West Bay and highly recommend. This is why we liked it- Spacious, clean, great balcony, and fanatic location. Argentinian Grill staff were extremely accommodating, attentive, and welcoming. Only complaint is the rooster at the house next door. Would stay here again!

The hotel and staff were amazing. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Roatan

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay at Puerta Azul in July 2022. Talia and her staff were always helpful and friendly. Puerta Azul was an ideal place to relax and unwind, as it was located in Sandy Bay away from the busy resorts and cruise ship traffic. The property was small and isolated in a residential area of the island. It was on the beach with a long dock best suited to watch the fabulous sunsets. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent. It was the perfect place...

This was my first time here but won't be my last! Beautiful room without the noise of a big hotel..I loved my beautiful private balcony and the staff are wonderful! I even ran into the bartender off duty and she came up to me.. Super pleasant and let me know if my group wanted to join them or needed anything.. Now that is great customer service!

My family and I stayed here for seven days. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Carlos, the manager was amazing , the DJ at bar, Jack kept us laughing and entertained at the pool bar even made our kids chocolate shakes..everyone was so kind and attentive to our needs. They also offer room service which the kids loved having breakfast at their room every morning. We will definitely be staying here when we visit Roatan again. If you are considering this place For your visit to...

Taquela Jack’s bar and restaurant is the best. Probably one of the cleanest on the island.

Idyllic location. Spectacular diving. Like Heron Island 20 years ago.

I traveled solo to Honduras for my birthday two weeks ago for a nice getaway. I was concerned about being alone on this trip but the staff took excellent care of me while I was there. They transported me everywhere I needed to go and picked me up. They were extremely attentive to me and helped make my trip very enjoyable. I do not have many complaints. I would only improve on the door to my suite. It did not have a peephole and the lock on the door did not fit my portable safety lock that I...

This place is Excellent...I love this place..I will comeback for sure...

Great experience. Staff very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Rooms are mostly beach front, recently renovated, clean and have balcony. beautiful view. Was a little disappointed that the beach was not sandy but rocky, but realized reef and sandy beach close by and could walk forever and snorkel right there. Town 5 mins walk with lots of restaurants, water activities and shops. Rented a car which was great to see the beautiful island. A lot of poverty but never felt unsafe....
