"I booked and paid extra for a seafront room. The view was wonderful. Unfortunately the room was not: 1) The bed was disgracefully bad - the springs on both sides of the bed are worn out, causing a person to roll off the bed unless they stay in the absolute centre of the bed. 2) Both of the armchairs are absolutely shot - the springs in both are now non-existent - they are so old and worn out. I like to take about 4 two-night breaks a year. I chose The Imperial because it is four star hotel and I had hoped to go there 4 times this year. I would never want to encounter such an uncomfortable room as 322 again though."

"The hotel has real potential,we got upgraded free of charge to a suite. However it wasnt that clean. The bed & bathroom was, but the bedside table was dusty, and where the tea & coffee is kept there was spillages which hadn’t been cleaned. Also dents in the wall,and the carpet needed a good clean. Bed was very comfy though and room was nice and spacious. Just needs a deep clean and a furniture re do! "

"Staff were lovely and helpful. Evening entertainment was brilliant and a great laugh with bingo and Brian Harris. Breakfast was good and parking as well. Pool lets itself down as there were swimming lessons going on and badly behaved children with a loud swimming teacher. Not at all relaxing and uncomfortable with parents sitting around watching "

"Excellent value for money stay just on the outskirts of Bath directly in the river. Very well appointed single room and a very nice continental breakfast. Very friendly staff. Parking is chargeable which I'd missed but still good value. I would return"

"Checked in on Friday, and told that there was a half marathon on Sunday which meant we could not use the road from 7.30. That meant for us, really no point staying as would need to leave before that. So we checked out on Saturday - reception seemed to agree this was sensible and no other option. Then they would not agree refund - seems unreasonable to me."

"Clean and spacious room. Comfortable beds, no noise from the street. Very centrally located hotel, near restaurants, pubs and cafes. Good breakfast selection. Helpful and welcoming staff. Nothing negative to say - my partner and I really enjoyed our stay and would come back without any hesitation! "
