I don't think it is possible to rate Ashford Castle as anything less than a full 5-star experience. In fact, if I could give it six stars I would. The level of customer service is so far above and beyond the call of duty it almost takes your breath away. Yes, it is expensive. But it is truly worth every penny. It was raining (go figure) and we just got back from eating dinner. The Help asked us if we wanted anything and got us baileys and we spent time by the fire. Very nice. Breakfast was awesome. Was sorry to see the evening help leave and not be there in the morning but Kitty was there to serve breakfast and help with checkout. If you want hustle and bustle and rude waitstaff you’ve gone to the wrong place. We went to the cliffs and Aron island afterwards and wanted to go back but it didn’t fit...

Plenty of room, clean and easy walk to pubs!

From the moment I checked in to the castle to the day we left I had nothing but positive interactions with the hotel staff. The Castle was clean and impeccably maintained, the staff were helpful, polite and easy to talk to. Our group took advantage of the Skeet shooting range and had a great time with our shooting Instructor who had a great personality and full of knowledge and experience. Will be back again!!!

We had short but great stay. Pearce welcomed us and gave us all the information needed to be comfortable. We got in around 7 p.m. on a Sunday and he directed us to where we were most likely to find a good meal. The room was very comfortable. We had three and the room fit all of us well. We had not included breakfast, but it was no problem adding it and it was quite good. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to any looking for accommodations in that area.

We had such a good time here, the location is excellent, there is a lake a walk of 3min in front of the hotel. It has fireplaces in the front room with board games and original furniture, enjoyed every minute of our stay, the food is so good it worth coming for it on its own. If you are looking for a place on this part of Ireland look no more. Its amazing!

We had a fantastic time. The Wolfhound walk was so nice and he was hysterical. We also had dinner at George V, which was an amazing experience. However, the thing that I will never forget was the school of Falconry. We did the 90 minute Hawk Walk and it was one of the most amazing experiences in my life!

Fantastic staff and hotel location - loved the staff here who are young, friendly and helpful. Prices are economical for a hotel this close to the beach and we certainly loved the hotel amenities here.

This is a stunning property with very professional and friendly staff. There is a beautiful perimeter walk on property, around the golf course and grounds which can include the lake (~1.2-1.5 mile circuit). The food in Palmer’s bar was fine, we liked the chicken supreme quite a bit and the wait staff, especially Derry, was wonderful. I couldn't have been happier with the extent to which all the staff went to meet our needs while there.

We loved this place. Watched the sunset from the beach there. The bartender, Paddy, was friendly and funny. This was our favorite stay in Ireland.

I've always enjoyed staying in Westport, but this time I liked it even better. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was roomy.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a portion of our honeymoon. From the start, we loved everything about it. Staff were super friendly and helpful with check in, and then will drawing on a map for us to help us find things to do in Galway. The included breakfast was really good.
