The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

"This was our first time staying at the Woodlands Resort. We heard about it from a friend. Overall it was a good experience but there were some minor issues. The check in desk was often over crowded, they tried charging for a roll away bed even though we booked a room for 3 that the website claimed the child would stay free, we never saw an itemized bill to review (not even via email afterwards), the floor under the lounge chairs was dirty (like melted ice cream on your feet), and we never saw waitstaff come to our area (two separate areas) while poolside. Overall, those things weren't a big deal because we were choosing to focus on the positive; however, for a nice resort I would've expected better."

"I recently stayed at the Hilton Americas-Houston and walked away thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The location is unbeatable — connected directly via skywalk to the George R. Brown Convention Center and just steps from Discovery Green and Toyota Center, making it ideal for both business trips and weekend getaways. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed, and featured Waldorf Astoria Serta Perfect Sleeper beds that made for one of the most comfortable hotel nights I've had — plus vibrant local artist murals that gave the space real character. I sprang for an executive-level room and loved the added perks: a plush bathrobe, complimentary WiFi, and access to the R24 Rooftop Lounge, which offers stunning skyline views paired with excellent cocktails. The amenities truly set this hotel apart. The 24th-floor heated infinity-edge pool and adjoining outdoor terrace were a perfect way to unwind, and the Skyline Spa & Health Club offered a fantastic massage after a long day of meetings. The 24-hour fitness center, equipped with Peloton bikes and top-tier Precor equipment, kept my workout routine on track even while traveling. Dining options on-site were excellent and varied — from the globally inspired plates at the Lobby Bar to seasonal fare at 1600 Bar + Grille, and a full-service Starbucks for quick mornings. Every staff member I interacted with was warm, professional, and went out of their way to make sure my stay was seamless."
