Westport is GORGEOUS. Really a must visit, sweet village with heaps of pubs, colourful buildings, and the surrounding area looks like a rambler's dream. Just a beautiful part of Ireland.

Westport is a joy to walk around. They should do well in the Tidy Towns Competition because the floral displays are gorgeous. Lovely atmosphere in the town.

Westport is a nice little town, though we would not return there after our visit. Taxi service is virtually nil, requiring a longgggg walk from the hotel to get into the main area of the town. Westport was recommended by friends.

A credit to the people of Westport who care for the upkeep of the town!
"From the moment we walked in and we were greeted at the front desk, to our breakfasts, to dinner in the resturant the staff made us feel right at home. The rooms themselves were large, very clean, the beds comfortable, and the views of the clew bay amazing. Room service was fast and hot, the laundry service as well was very fast. I would recommend this hotel in a heart beat to anyone. We stayed in many hotels while in Ireland and this one was by far the best. As a side note there is a lot to do in the area and is a Westport is a great friendly little town. "
"Stayed here for a week as a base to mooch around Mayo where my family roots are. Hotel decor is a little tired here and there but that did not affect our enjoyment or not make hotel VFM. Lots of friendly local/Irish staff, which I think helps to add warmth to the atmosphere and is perhaps unusual for this size of hotel - perhaps because of Westport’s size? Food is great. Had been meaning to climb Croagh Patrick for a while and finally got round to it this time. This is not for the feint-hearted and is very long and steep - no one mentioned this to me before - maybe because it’s a pilgrimage/penance thing - it’s not meant to be easy. But it’s near enough a scramble in places - never come across a ‘tourist’ track so challenging before. Pick a good day weather-wise, dress appropriately and take plenty of water. If you’ve got sticks use them. Some climbers were rocking up looking as if they’d just stepped out of the pub - this hill needs a bit more respect than that imho. Mayo is my favourite place in the world - enjoy! Slan."
"Dinner and breakfast menu options were extensive and the food well prepared and presented . Dining room lovely (especially if sitting in the bay window area). Room was quiet, very spacious and the bed very comfortable. Just a short walk into town, which had lots of dining options to suit all budgets. Highly recommended,"
"Great stay at the Wyatt in Westport. Room was very clean, comfy bed and great shower. Very central. Tons of dining options and traditional Irish music on site. Would certainly recommend. "
"The staff was very attentive, the rooms were beautiful and the service was impeccable. The food and bar were also excellent. Fantastic hotel. The location is perfect with parking and everything is a short walk.We stayed 6 nights and enjoyed every minute. "
