"This stay was a return from the highlands and return back to this wonderful hotel. I honestly can’t say enough of how organized, clean, close to everything this place is. The staff is wonderful and helpful."

"We had a cosy room with a window thank God or it would have been unbearable. Our room in Kyoto was a palace compared to this room. The pillows were like stones and that was the smallest full size bed I’ve ever seen. No coffee or water in the room, no safe again the room was so small not sure where you would put them Convenient to the train station is about it."

"Going to give an honest review from what I experienced. The location is good for the price. It’s around $100 a night cheaper than other Hotels that’s a little closer to Old town/ New town. The Hotel is on the edge of Downtown It’s about 20 min walk with restaurant and beautiful 19th century buildings along the way. The Hotel has good and not so good things about it. That’s why it’s much cheaper than most of other hotels in the same area. The breakfast is good. Proper English breakfast buffet for only 12 pounds. The parking is only 7.50 pound a night. The Hotel needs decorating and renovating. The walls needs paint and needs new flooring in the corridors. The area had bits of small rubbish in hall ways and elevators that was never cleaned in the few days I was there. The room was very spacious with 65inch Tv. But, it was dated. The corners in the bath tub had mold in the sealants and most of any metal had rust areas. If the cleaning in the Hotel was supervised better it would make a big difference at the Hotel. In my opinion it was worth the Money, but I would gladly paid more if the Hotel was cleaner and had paint and flooring updated."

"Rooms weren’t cleaned properly, floor was full of crumbs, all our furniture in the room was dirty and scribbled with a permanent marker. Room was super noisy and we kept hearing doors banging overnight, hallway carpets and other room doors were poorly maintained, Definitely not worth the money. Can’t say much about amenities since we didn’t used any. Staff was friendly and attentive."

"The location of this hotel is great it’s in a very walkable area very close to plenty of attractions/activities. Breakfast was okay for the amount you pay the restaurant is alright. The room could use some work there were stains on the carpet and the curtains and the shower wasn’t the cleanest. However we spent most of our time out walking around Edinburgh. Staff was helpful and friendly."

"The stay at Dalmahoy was brilliant. I upgrade my room to the period double in the house and wasn't disappointed. The staff were friendly and super helpful. I enquired about the cinema room use for showing the eurovision, and guest relations were happy to put it on for us. More to see in Edinburgh, so will be hopefully going back at some point to finish off, and to use the leisure facilities as we didn't use them."
