Welcoming snug lounge with exposed beams, inglenook fireplace, cast iron stove, traditional pine floors and stairs, morning room and unusual attic twin bedroom (children love this room) with the original steeper cottage stairs provoke and spark the imagination with both charm and interest.

“Off the beaten track.” Along a country Lane, in the heart of the Hamlet of Iburndale, Blackbird Cottage really does nestle in the valley, jostling for a position in the centre of the Village, close to the beck, over the hump back bridge…

From the Cottage you can go walking and hiking to explore the woodlands and fields around the village or the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Grosmont, Whitby or Harry Potter’s or Heartbeat’s at Goathland. Take a leisurely walk into Whitby, just 4 miles!

See the North Yorkshire Moors, appreciate the heritage and wildlife, this is an inspiring place to visit at any time of year.

Its less than 15 minutes to local shops in Sleights or the dog friendly CAMRA, Plough Inn. You could be a world away from the city hustle and bustle.
