"It’s a rustic property in a very good location along the Methow River. There are a series of cabins, and a few larger buildings with 8 units per building, 4 on each of 2 floors. We stayed in the latter, in a first floor room.
I would rate the stay as very good, allowing for the rustic nature and location. There is a gas station and well-stocked grocery store next door. The room was quite large with adequate furniture, s small fridge, microwave etc. Water pressure and hot water very adequate, also the number of power outlets, parking etc. Free wifi though not fast. The area is very quiet and safe.
The room interior was entirely of wood, a brown color, which made everything appear dark. The bed linens and comforter felt old. These were the two main shortcomings in my view.
Overall we had a very good stay of three days, during which we spent a day each in North Cascades NP, Grand Coulee, and Lake Chelan area. Each of these is an hour or two drive from the Virginian. The surroundings are very scenic and have a charm unspoiled by over-tourism."
