"I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding our stay from May 15th to 17th, 2026. What was meant to be a relaxing family retreat resulted in severe distress, unacceptable hygiene failures, and unexpected financial costs.
Upon a late check-in on Friday, our room was infested with moths and insects crawling on the carpet. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and professional, doing their absolute best to reassign us to the 7th floor. Disappointingly, this second room suffered from the exact same infestation, with dead insects squashed along the wardrobe rails due to a clear lack of housekeeping. This distressing environment reduced my six-year-old daughter to tears.
Given these untenable conditions, it was impossible to stay. I presented video evidence to the duty manager and requested a full refund. We were forced to seek alternative accommodation at 10:00 PM. This ordeal was emotionally draining and financially burdensome, forcing us to incur last-minute costs for alternative accommodation and transport. Furthermore, my parents had to cut their trip short, entirely ruining our family plans.
A standard refund is insufficient for this level of disruption. While I appreciate that front-line staff did everything they could, property maintenance is management's responsibility. I expect full accountability and compensation for our losses and distress.
