"Room was large and clean and had obviously recently been updated. Was surprised however, given how hot it has been that no complimentary water was provided which is something most hotels provide no matter the weather. Also for such a large deluxe room, the bathroom. Consisted of a bath with a shower over which was actually ok for me being under 5ft, however, for my partner who is 6ft plus, this was not at all practical, particularly when it couldn't be adjusted. Staff were very sympathetic and did offer a room change that had a walk in shower, however, this room was not as nice and considerably smaller so we instead accepted a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a later checkout. Room options should state what facilities you'll get when booked through a 3rd party. Our room option included breakfast but as we were attending Wimbledon opted for an early breakfast but had very little as we were due to have an early lunch at Wimbledon. We were disappointed on the second morning that there was no room to accommodate us for breakfast in the Dunbar Bar so we along with other guests were directed to another area with only a buffet breakfast available, which was not great as the food was luke warm, overcooked and the bacon inedible, one guest said the food was cold and walked out. We understand the difficulties as the hotel is undergoing renovations, however it was clear that us and other guests were not happy either. Hopefully once renovations are completed it will improve."
