"Ten of us enjoyed a really lovely 3 night stay at The Homestead. Overall, the property was pretty much perfect for our needs; very spacious living/dining/ kitchen areas and enough bedrooms that those wishing to have their own rooms were able to whilst those of us happy to share were in spacious, comfortable rooms. The property is in a wonderfully peaceful location and it was lovely watching the horses being led out to the paddocks or for their exercise in the mornings. Just a couple of things to mention; a lot of the wardrobes were locked and whilst I understand the house is a family home and things need to be stored, in our room, which I took to be the master, we had no usable wardrobes or drawers. Some coat hooks were provided but for three women, these were not really adequate. Also, the outside furniture could do with updating. The long wooden bench was unusable due to the warping and general poor condition. A dedicated seating area in a sunny spot would be lovely as the patio does not get the afternoon sun. However, these issues in no way distracted from a fantastic weekend and we would be happy to return."

"Hotel was clean and in good condition. Rooms were good and bed sizes were good too - 2 singles were higher than expected. Toiletries were lovely. Would’ve liked to be able to order room service but it isn’t an option for dinner or breakfast. Basic breakfast included was ok. Overall, would stay again."

"You never know what to expect when travelling somewhere new but this place is lovely, it felt like a home away from home. The small touches like the thank you card, the candle, the decor, even the garden made it feel very homely. The host was amazing, she made me feel welcome, she showed me around and was very friendly. I had my privacy but she checked in to see if I was ok and to see if I needed anything which I thought was sweet. I loved my stay here and I will definitely come here again. If you want to stay somewhere that is peaceful, quiet and homely and you can have time with family or by yourself, this is the place to visit. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with me."

"I would like to ask for a full refund really but I know I won't get one. We were left in property on our own and told to lock up when we come and go. The sheets on the beds were dirty. Bathroom dirty. Tea and coffee in the room but no milk. We left at half 4 in the morning with little or no sleep at all. Terrible place "
