Lake Yellowstone Hotel and Cabins

Lake Yellowstone Hotel and Cabins

8/10 Good
"Historical hotel, beautiful location. All of the staff were friendly except for the woman who answered the hotel’s hardline phone, early am on 8/12. The fire alarm was going off at the smaller lodge next to the main hotel where we were staying. I called the front desk to let them know and instead of a nice, professional greeting I was rudely asked my name, if I was a guest. I called on the hotel hard line, “yes, we’re aware and security is on their way. How about, “sorry for the inconvenience, we’re working on resolving the issue, thank you for calling”. We also had 2 power outages which I understand is not the hotel’s fault (same morning as false fire alarm incident). The hotel could have put out fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, cereal etc. items not requiring being cooked. We had to get ready in the dark, leave early for Bozeman Airport, 3 hr. drive, no coffee, no breakfast. The hotel needs to figure out a better dinner reservation system. Angi, the hostess was so kind to get us in earlier than our 9:15pm and 8:45pm reservation for 2 nights. Table by the window both nights! As guests we were far away from any restaurants so the main restaurant and Lodge were the only places to eat. We had a great trip. Just a few bumps in the road for the hotel to work on. Thanks"

Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch

"Convenient location if you are adventuring to both Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. We stayed with pets and only spent time in the Tetons, so we had to drive about an hour one way to most things in the Tetons multiple times a day. Pets enjoyed taking walks around the well-maintained property but have to stay off of trails. No thrills in the room with no A/C (as advertised) but did the job. Staff was friendly. Restaurants/coffee there was convenient and good for what it was! A pricey stay for the quality of the room, but you either pay with time or money on trips like these, and we wanted to make the most of our long weekend! Would definitely stay here again."

"What a great place to stay. Room clean, bed comfy, great toiletries provided. Coffee tea in room. The staff were so accommodating with a request we had. Cons were breakfast at a charge and no air conditioning. However we would definitely stay here again. Convenient to Old Faithful"

Canyon Lodge & Cabins - Inside the Park

"Room was clean, but very small. I read some reviews and really didn't notice anyone mentioning that there is no TV and no AC. The evenings were cool, so we requested a fan. Fans are a must and why these rooms don't have ceiling fans is a mystery. I main issue was how small the shower was. My husband and I are not large people and we both had difficulty in the shower. I cannot imagine a big man trying to shower. Regardless, the facility is very well maintained, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is really just a place to sleep/shower before you are off to your next adventure (-:"

"overall it is ok considering the price is relative a lot lower than others at the same location. the bathroom fan is noisy and there are a few slots/holes under the carpet. the breakfast is ok and parking space is large but part of it is on repairing the time we were. The staff is friendly. for budget minded , it is a reasonable stay."
