"Staff does a great job. Clean, friendly and helpful. While it is waterfront there are quite a few steps to get down to the beach, so if one has limited mobility be you should aware of that.
The pool is lovely with a poolside bar and restaurant (pool needs a fresh paint job but it is clean and beautiful otherwise)
There had been a typhoon, so things weren’t as beautiful as I imagine they are otherwise (a lot of broken coral, trees missing leaves, no flowers) so I’m trying to take that into account.
The water in the bay was clear and gorgeous. We saw some tropical fish, I wish I’d gotten to go snorkeling (forgot my contact lenses so I couldn’t see if I did go 😂 and can’t snorkel with glasses)
The hotel is just older and in need of some renovations, the owners really should invest more in bringing it back up to date because the location is great, close to the airport, view is spectacular and it is *almost* great but the price reflects that so it’s a great deal.
Note that if there is an airport shuttle it wasn’t available when we needed a ride (I don’t remember…either there wasn’t one ever or it wasn’t available early morning for our flight time, not sure.) a cab from the airport costs as much as $35 even though it’s quite close. We used the one that had a stand outside the lobby when leaving and it was less, I think $25. So an airport shuttle is valuable if offered. Overall it was a relaxing stay, thank you."
