"Communication was lacking on this booking. I didn’t receive an email beforehand with details of how to obtain key to the property, after reaching out i did get it just in time for our arrival. The cottage was plenty big enough for 4 of us but we found that the cleanliness was not up to our standards. Plenty of dust on all skirting boards behind beds etc, the sofas were really uncomfortable & sagging & there was not enough hot water for us all to have a shower in the mornings, let alone a...

"I loved everything about the apartment and will definitely stay again. The wifi was very good, bathroom and kitchen clean, bed extremely comfortable and tv is good too. As a young female staying alone, it was a bit scary walking near the apartment at night because of drunks and other undesirables :( "

"Loved the house. Was set up really nicely and every room was a beauty (especially the suite, which I took!). The location is really great for city access, lying not far from the famous city wall, and there are plenty of pubs all around.When the sauna didn't start straight away, Rasta came around immediately to fix it all, and she was a lovely, helpful host.I would definitely recommend this place for adult trips."

"This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Minster Loft. The best thing about it is the location. Next door to York Minster with shops, restaurants and everything else just a stones throw away. Stays York communication is really good too. We love this little place so will definitely stay again. Only negatives are the stairs up to the property and it would be nice to have a tv in the bedroom after a long day exploring."

"The unit is right by St. John’s University, ideally located to be near my student but also in walking distance to the city center. The kitchen had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again."

"This was a very pleasant space and fantastically located. We enjoyed our stay right by the York walls."

"We loved the enchantment for its special look and location. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. There were a few minor flaws that might need some fixing (bed lamp and curtain broken and a missing TV remote) but the responses of Stays York were quick and helpful. We couldn't manage to get the fire DVD working but everything else was just fine. We would definitely recommend this location for a stay in York."

"What a lovely place to stay. The cottage was immaculate and had great facilities. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the owner left tea, coffee, biscuits and even a pint of milk in the fridge; very welcome after a long journey. The location is brilliant - not far from the town centre, outlet village, river and it was on a bus route. would highly recommend this cottage."

"The owners have done a great job. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated and has everything you could need. The location was perfect - seconds from the wall and under 5 minutes’ walk to the city centre. "

10/10 Excellent

"We loved our 2 rooms here. Beds were super comfortable, amenities were fantastic, food was tasty, we liked the history and decor, & we had great rooms with garden views. It was also nice to say someplace right next to the train station (especially since we brought my senior parents) and have the option of leaving luggage and exploring the city before check in / not taking your luggage all over town. For those driving, the car park / parking lot seem to be large enough to accommodate many visitors. "
