"Mixed stay. When we arrived we had the premium room furtherest from reception and the key cards didn't work so we had to walk all the way back. The room was very hot making it uncomfortable to hang around in, especially since there was only a small fan. We also got woken up in the morning by housekeeping opening our door even though we had only stayed for one night and it was 3hrs before check out. The room was decent, very big bed and the nespresso machine with complimentary drinks was a nice...
"There are a few issues here. There are 2 classes of spa users. Those with robes, and those without. It’s not a good look to see the non-robe people clutching towels as they dodge the bird excrement on the outside patio, which could be dragged into the pool with one misstep. A daily jet wash is needed. The shower gel containers in the men’s area were all empty.
You need earplugs if they put you in a room near the kitchen ventilator. You won’t sleep.
The safe in the wardrobe doesn’t work....
"Goldborough Hall is excedllent in all respects. Breakfast very good. Standards of the hall were supreme. Lovely grounds. A real pleasure to stay at this wonderful hotel.

"Arrival was easy, nobody manning reception but was not a problem, key left on the side clearly labelled and clear instructions etc.
Room clean and well presented, good amenities, including tea, coffee, fresh milk etc.
Room not perfectly blackout with some streetlight coming in round the side of the curtains, and a faint green light from the fire exit sign, not something that bothers me as I sleep with my eyes closed, but some day dreamers might want a blindfold.
Bed was clean, very comfortable...
