"The staff here were so friendly and helpful. They really made you feel welcomed and helped you settle in. The property is beautiful, a classic traditional Japanese style ryokan and they provide slippers and robes as well. It was a very enjoyable stay for us. Even given the 15-20minute walk from the train station, you’re surrounded by beautiful nature and architecture, so it doesn’t feel very far at all. Our room had a private onsen which was fantastic, definitely a highlight! We recommend...

Top Yumoto Hotel Reviews

Tsukino Yado Sara

10/10 Excellent

"Tsukino no Yado Sara is a beautiful property. We selected the option to include meals and it did not disappoint. So many delicious different foods that we likely would not have experienced anywhere else. Additionally, there are many options for the on-site onsen. You can reserve a room with a private tub, but you can also use the private onsen, which is available to anyone staying at the ryokan (property). No reservations required. There’s also the public onsen setup where it’s separated by gender. It’s a larger bath bug are and has indoor and outdoor options."

Yaeikan

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed in a room with a private Onsen, and opted to have the meals brought to our room (specifically the wagyu option). Our onsen was so nice, that we decided to not bother with the public and reservable ones. I had three baths in a day! The food was exceptional and whilst very different to the British palette, it was all well explained, presented and of course was delicious. The staff were wonderful and attentive, responding to requests and questions quickly and clearly. I was very pleased to see that Yaiken was busy throughout our stay, and I hope it remains so. One small piece of feedback as picked up by others is that some of the furnishings are a bit tired and perhaps need a spruce up - marks on the walls etc. but genuinely nothing that would stop me going again or recommending to anyone. Thank you!"
