This location is close to everything, but on a quiet canal. We loved the funky old boat, but I would caution that the photos might be unintentionally misleading. "I stayed with 2 of my friends in this cute little boat. We had an amazing time where it was walking distance from the centre. Although there is no running water the host was very friendly and accomodate for us and always made sure we had what we needed. Definitely recommend if you want to stay on an affordable boat in the canals of Amsterdam!!"

"Myself and 2 family members chose the Aalsmeer houseboat to explore Amsterdam and Keukenhof gardens. The houseboat is super cute. It’s a 35 minute walk to the bus station and we took an Uber for 10 euros because it was raining. Then bus to Hoofddorp to catch a train to Schiphol airport then on to Amsterdam Centraal station. "Wonderful experience. Martyn was very hospitable. The location is quiet and across from the zoo. Waking up to elephants and zebras was incredible. We enjoyed a nice hit tea on top of the boat in the mornings while we watched boaters and swimmers come by. We truly enjoyed this property and it’s fully stocked kitchen supplies. "

"Lovely place with a great sized room and very easy to commute to and from into Amsterdam. Good set of amenities! Very easy to go upstairs and grab food or drinks too if you want. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. For 3 guests in one room, a nice touch would be a small chest of drawers somewhere maybe for clothes. "

"Staff was the most accommodating of any hotel we stayed in. We had to leave early to catch a bus and requested a take away breakfast. Not only did they prepare a substantial take away meal, they opened early to allow us a hot meal before we left and also gave us the breakfast which served as another meal for our journey. So friendly and accommodating. "
