"Stayed last minute. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Nice bar/restaurant area. Room was clean and modern. It’s located on a main road through the village so it can be noisy. "

"My son and I spent 4 days here for a fishing trip. The accommodation was very good in quiet, peaceful surroundings. The lake although quite small was well stocked with plenty of fish. We enjoyed the sport not taking it too seriously. The pegs to fish could have been a little more defined but it was adequate. "

"Spent 8 nights in England. Poplars was my fave of the 5 places we stayed. That was due to staff. Though my train left before (free) breakfast, they left food for us the night before and provided fresh coffee in the morning. Meant a lot to us. Close to all points of interest but a bit of walk from train station. Cheap uber rides available. Great pick to be near Lincoln Castle."

"31 Castle Gate gave us a very clean and comfortable 2 night stay . Private and quiet accommodation clear instruction re parking facilities. Easy access to shops, cafe and relaxing meal/ drink in the evening sat by the canal. Initial access wasn't granted by the code given but a very quickly answered call gave us access for the stay. Thank you to Daniel - very helpful and he also checked in with us to make sure access was ok . Would use the accommodation again . "

"The accommodation was perfect, really spacious and clean. Great parking. Modern and fresh decor. Close to Clumber Park, which was the reason we stopped there. The only negative thing was that the shower was luke warm, I mentioned this to a neighboring visitor who said hers was the same. I was only there for 2 nights so coped but it wasn't pleasant as I felt cold in the shower. It has been capped at that temp so needs upping a bit to make a more pleasurable experience for guests.
