"Located in an upscale neighborhood and very safe. However, far from the city center. Beds were comfy with no bed side lamps. There was a mimi fridge and complimentary tea and coffee. Room size was decent. Very small water heater so impossible for a good hot shower. Wifi was a bit patchy. Since we left early we were given plain bread and bananas. The breakfast menu only included pancakes and eggs so very basic. Staff were helpful. When we entered the room it was full of mosquitoes!"

"After reading how in the ghetto's in Africa, you have to be careful if you are white. We decided it was near airport as stated, but in a shanty town that was with even driving 10 minutes off the main road. There were no restaurants near, if we went out, we would have had to have an escort. The young woman in charge looked at us as if we were strange due to the fact, after seeing the location, we backed out of staying in the motel. "Murugo had everything we needed. It is a great location, in an authentic Kigali neighbourhood. It has a beautiful garden to sit out in and a nice view. It was clean and comfortable. The employees were incredible: friendly, kind, helpful and attentive. David, the owner, seems to know everyone in Kigali, so there were often interesting people having drinks and dinner in the evenings.
