Hotel Schloss Reichmannsdorf is on the site of a Truchsess castle destroyed by fire in 1642, Johann Dientzenhofer built between 1714 and 1719 according to plans of his brother Leonhard for Wolf Philipp von Schrottenberg a castle as a three-wing complex above an artificial lake, with a richly decorated display side, high, mansard-divided roof and a mighty coat of arms gable. The stuccoes in the staircase are by Johann Christian Beuntner, the paintings by Johann Jakob Gebhard. The castle still belongs to the von Schrottenberg family and has been a hotel since 2011.
