"I would recommend staying somewhere else. Bugs everywhere in the room, especially when it was night. I stayed in room 10 which sits in the sun all day. There are no blackout curtains for all the windows so the room gets very warm. The water from the sink tasted like dirt. But worst of all, The husband that runs the motel is a rude and impatient human being. Stay somewhere else."

"I was well cared for at the House with No Nails! The property is beautiful & clean, & in a gorgeous rural setting set amidst mountains, big blue skies, & farm animals. The house is an easy 25 minute drive from the Hobbiton set in Matamata, which was my plan while in this area of NZ. Highly recommended!"

"We loved staying at this property. It was walking distance to both the beach and mount maunganui shops, perfect location. The apartment had everything we needed and was well set up. Unfortunately the bed in the master room was uncomfortable and the restrictions around washing clothes after 4pm meant there was no where to hang the washing (possibly a clothes horse is needed).
