"The cottages are cute, but they feel a bit like bunkers, and the room is small and very musty smelling. The staff was really nice though. Do not eat at the Denny's across the street. It's disgusting."

"Nice and clean hotel. My family loved the pool. I would come back! Taking one star away because the people working the restaurant and bar were a bit rude. The website and the front desk said they closed at 9pm but when we got there at 8pm they told us it was closing and they didn’t want to serve us. The same thing happened the next day which was disappointing because we based our day on the time it was closed. Other people were upset too. "

"This was our first time in Monterey Bay. This hotel has 2 beautiful outdoor sitting areas. The view from the rooftop was really pretty. The ocean view is nice but the hotel was a distance away. We were not at the hotel much so it didn’t really matter to us. It is close to the beach. Close to target which was nice because we did forget a few necessities. Our overall stay was great. Staff were always present, pleasant and helpful. There is a 24 hr coffee/tea bar in the lobby too. Very clean. Good...

"Our stay began with the friendliest greeting by your registration desk. We were early and the room was not yet ready, but she gave us a map with options to walk around in the area and called us on the cell as soon as our room was ready and still ahead of check in time. THANK YOU for such a friendly atmosphere from beginning to end."
