Having the suite was a real treat although a shelf or platform by the freestanding bath and extra toiletries would have been nice. The property is ideal for an exclusive break but looking a bit tired in places, they could make much more of the gardens, which looked rather unkept, but perhaps the time of year was a factor. Unfortunately the fine dining options were not available, which for a bank holiday weekend was...

"Characterful place. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a pub/restaurant/mini brewery with rooms. Good cooked breakfasts. Only problem is you can't usually park close by but there's a cheap long-stay car park about 10 mins walk away, same for the town centre."

"Being right on the river, as my husband is a fisherman it was his utopia! Would have liked a different menu, the Sunday lunch was great, but more choices would be nice. Desserts were a challenge! "
