"We loved the gardens and jungle trail around the hotel. Birds paradise. In addition to a regular pool, hot springs pools were very convenient too. The shower is a bit dated but overall clean and served its purpose. The breakfast was filling and tasty: scrambled eggs, white bread, cheese, rice and beans, sauteed veggies, fruits, yogurt, cereal, coffee. The personnel was polite and patient with all our questions. "We stayed 1 week at La Fortuna Lodge at the beginning of the rainy season (end of May), and had a great stay there. The hotel is ideally situated a few blocks off the main road/centre town, near the edge of the jungle forest. There are plenty of restaurants close by (highly recommend “La Fortuneno”) as well as coffee shops, tourism offices, souvenir shops, grocery/convenience, etc. Many tourist attractions are close to La Fortuna, which makes this hotel a great spot to stay.
