"The staff was great. When they saw how bad my husband's walking was, they switched us to a closer room, without us even asking. The room was very nice, modern and clean. Pools were beautiful and clean. Pool bars had excellent service, and drinks as you like them. My only concern was how thoroughly the non- disposable drink cups were washed? My favorite part was seeing the monkeys playing in the trees near the pools! The food was ok. Steakhouse was very good. Asian restaurant was excellent....

"Extremely expensive for what you get. 1st come 1st serve for shuttle and hard to access the city by walk (uphill). Allowing guests to smoke in the pool. Hotel and amenities falling apart (not well kept or maintained). Drinks majorly diluted. Had curdle milk in my coffee, was told by staff that was normal and we're adamant on not changing it. Completely dismissed for 375$ a night we we're expecting alot more. I would rate this hotel a 2-3 star max. "

"Our family of 2 adults & 2 teens stayed for 1 night at Villas Sol. The view was breathtaking of sunset on the pacific during dinner on the terrace of the main restaurant. All staff were very courteous and helpful. Theres 3 rooms per complex perched on a very steep hill.. even taking luggage out was difficult!!! Use the park brake. Even though the small 2 double beds room was clean, it was very dated; cracked tiles There is a convenient shuttle around complex & 2 Great swimming pools with bar....

"Very nice property. The reception is 2km from the main road up hill. 3 restaurants and complimentary breakfast was good. Basic and fresh. Spa(hot springs) is amazing located in the forest. 25 minutes tractors shuttle on bumpy road to get there. Once you are there, you will have to eat in there restaurant since nothing is close by."

"This hotel has a great location, right on the beach. There are no loungers,umbrella rentals or public restrooms on Potrero Beach so being at the hotel you have all of that. The water there is calm, great for swimming. Similar to many places in Costa Rica there were some plumbing issues, plugged toilet and plugged shower drain but maintenance fixed it right away and we were fine for the rest of the stay. It is clean, the buffet breakfast is good. You can order an omelette in addition to what is...
