For not speaking the same language it went very very smooth. Very clean and a great location. Any difficulties were solved. Only complaint is the walls were a little thin if you have neighboring guests.

I spent 8 nights at the Vozdvyzhensky in late October, as a tourist. It was my first trip to Kiev. I do hope to go back, and I would not consider any other hotel. I stayed in the Luxury Apartment. Worth the money. The cafe is excellent and they prepare good food right on property. There is a Silpo grocery store close by and all kinds of dining options in walking distance. Use the Kontraktova metro stop it’s easier. Ukrainian Starbucks is Aroma Kava. Grab a latte every time you go to and from the Metro. I’ll be staying at KONTRAKT every time I come to Kyiv. It’s quiet and the nightlife is ten minutes walk away if you really want to bogey.

Wonderful apartment with grocery across the street. 2 blocks from St. Micheal's and 2 blocks from Maidan square. Several restaurants within 3 block radius, including a nice Georgian restaurant next door.

Great Friendly Staff and Clean Rooms

Everything was amazing! Friendly, every desire was fulfilled.

I have been to this hotel twice now. Once in June and again in December. A great stay both times and will do it again when i come back. Old soviet style building so don't expect the Hilton. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially if you only speak English. All staff is very fluent in English making easy for English speakers. Breakfast buffet was great. Great hotel. The only problem i had was the Wifi internet would cut on and off. Did not have this problem in my June stay but...

Amazing place to stay! Perfect location in the historic old center of the city, great ammunitions and room is very clean. A great breakfast every morning is included as well. There are so many places of interest to see, public transportation is near by, endless amount of the great restaurants are located around. As a bonus area around is so picturesque and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

I went to Kyiv for a three-day get away. The hotel was a little hard to find, but once I got there it was really nice. The hotel staff was very friendly, and very accommodating, since I did not speak Ukraine or Russian. The food at the restaurant there was delicious, and it is nearby to the historic districts and tourist sites. From that location, I was able to see a lot of things in a quick amount of time. Great experience. Very nice view of the river from the water-side rooms. Quiet, peaceful, safe, clean. the staff are terrific. 10 minute walk to Metro, 3 stops from center of city. Taxi service good and inexpensive. Negatives: 1. room to room sounds. 2. the restaurant, which does not belong to the hotel, is overpriced and has menus only in Russian and English (and none in Ukrainian), and the staff of the restaurant seems reluctant to respond to customers in Ukrainian.

I was soo pleased to stay in Sherborne Apt /Hotel. It is a such a beautiful, very clean and quiet place. Has a well equipped kitchen! This is really important to me when I travel so I can cook a little and eat healthier.
