"Quite basic but clean, fluffy towels and tea/coffee making facilities. No aircon but there was a fan available and it was surprisingly quiet so we were able to sleep with the windows open. The properties behind the hotel, which our room faced, were being renovated so I imagine that could be noisy if staying during the week but we were there at weekend and it was surprisingly silent. There is underground parking at the hotel but that was full, however we parked in the Rodney Road multi-storey...

"Probably one of my favorite UK stays. I booked the morning of as a bit of a spur of the moment decision. The price was absolutely fantastic, the room that I got could not be beat. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful. Jess the supervisor was an absolute gem. The food is great, if I’m ever in the area again I will absolutely be staying here. Can’t recommend it enough!"

"A really lovely hotel and the staff were all so friendly and attentive through our stay We did a spa morning whilst there and the massage was really good Also the restaurant was great with delicious food and a great setting especially sitting outside in the nice weather"

"Very quirky old hotel with a lot of history to the hotel as well. Staff were very helpful and courteous and were a joy to deal with. Public areas could do with some attention as there were evidence of dust and cobwebs visible during our 5 day stay. No one paying attention to it except for someone writing dust with their finger to highlight the fact. Obviously it was being observed by others! Some tlc to the decor needed although the bedroom we stayed in was quite pleasant. We did enjoy our stay...

"A very welcoming hotel. Plenty of. Character. Very kind and helpful staff. Very clean. Room spacious. Good breakfast could benefit from more gluten free options. Got a couple of free drinks at the bar instead of having room service. Spacious and very appealing grounds leading to the canal path with a very pleasant walk. Would gladly stay again."
