"top class hotel. big room. very clean. wifi worked. It is part of the Mailbox building. Handy if you want to visit the BBC. Parking under the hotel. A bit of a challenge to get to the parking entrance but google helped. Food options in the bar a bit limited. would stay again."

"We only had an overnight stay, but the hotel was excellent. Very clean and a beautiful smell throughout. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Emma on reception check in was great - she afforded me a room upgrade per my Expedia VIP booking - this doesn't happen very often. Staff are friendly and the room is well appointed. "We had an awful stay at Hilton Birmingham Metropole. The experience started with extremely long queues, but the biggest issue was being woken by the fire alarm at 2am. After being forced to stand outside in horrendous rain and thunder, we eventually returned to our room and got back into bed, only to be woken again a few hours later by another false alarm. While in the lift during the first evacuation, another guest told us they had experienced the same issue repeatedly throughout the week during the night, which is quite frankly unacceptable. Our child was absolutely petrified by the whole ordeal, and after the second alarm we decided to pack up and prepare to leave. As a result, we got virtually no sleep at all. It's a real shame because the hotel itself is lovely and the décor is beautiful, but the repeated false alarms completely ruined our stay. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it based on our experience."
