"We went in late May, so before the main season. The hotel is lovely, comfortable rooms - book one with a sea view, it's amazing. The pool was fabulous, plenty of seating and sunbeds. Good parking arrangements. Staff are friendly and willing to help. If there was an area for I would suggest some alternatives to the baked sweet goods, although if you have a sweet tooth, you're in for a treat. Eggs were available on request and they were good. "We ended a Ciclismo Classico bike tour in Maratea and so enjoyed the relaxing surroundings at La Locanda delle Donne Monache. We tagged on 2 extra nights at the hotel…I could have remained there for an entire week!! The only “downgrade” is the firmness of the mattresses ( we stayed in 2 different rooms). I found the mattresses throughout our tour across southern Italy to be quite firm. No big deal, though, as we slept soundly and comfortably at La Locanda."

"Soggiorno piacevole, camere pulite e personale molto professionale. Note dolenti: letto matrimoniale composto da due letti singoli , stanza non insonorizzata e assenza di tapparelle per ridurre la luce nelle prime ore del mattino. Il tutto però è stato superato dalla gentilezza del personale e dalla colazione abbondante e veramente deliziosa, che ha soddisfatto tutte le nostre esigenze. Consigliato!"

Stor frukost, inte bara 10-12 olika sorters fantastiska bakverk, utan också stabilt med ägg o bacon, ost och olika pålägg, många juicer, bästa youghurten med massor av olika fräscha tillbehör. Härlig pool, nära ner till egen strand. Lite längre att gå till andra stränder. "

"La struttura è stata facile da raggiungere dall'autostrada, è molto grande e ben curata. La stanza spaziosa mi è piaciuta tanto, soprattutto il fatto di avere la camera da letto separata dall'ingresso in cui c'erano gli altri 2 letti e anche un comodo e spazioso divano in aggiunta. Il tetto molto carino a mò di dipinto antico con tanto di crepe (solamente disegnate ovviamente). La pulizia impeccabile. Il bagno grande e comodo, c'era anche uno sgabello, utile per i bimbi. L'unica pecca la doccia...

"Het hotel zou sluiten voor de winterperiode de dag na onze boeking. Dit vernamen we bij de receptie bij aankomst toen we een tweede nacht wilden boeken. Het hotel leek verlaten. Geen mogelijkheid om gebruik te maken van het restaurant zowel voor diner als voor ontbijt. We boekten de duurste kamer omwille van het prachtige uitzicht. Bij het betreden van de kamer was er geen warm water noch verwarming. Het was er meer dan kil, het was er koud. Na vraag werd het warm water aangezet maar we moesten...

"Sehr schönes Stadthotel. Komfortable Zimmer mit schöner Rundum Sicht. Eine sehr freundliche Begrüßung durch die Mitarbeiterin. Tolle Räume und ein großartiges Frühstück. Unsere Fahrräder konnten wir im Hotel in einem separaten Raum abstellen. "

"What a joke. They advertise all these wonderful amenities and when we arrived there was absolutely nothing available. No spa, no beach, no tennis, no laundry facilities, no hair salon. We would never have stayed here if we had know. When we complained they offered us a free drink! I have complained through the hotel and the refuse to respond and tried to get a refund from Expedia with no luck. Don't go to this hotel if you are expecting lots to do.....there is nothing!"

"A lovely quiet and relaxing place. Very helpful and considerate staff. The beach and sea was clean and the water very clear and safe. Everyone was very helpful and patient with our beginners Italian. Rosa was amazingly kind and helpful during our stay and we would recommend visiting this peaceful Gem. "
