"This is a former palace. The rooms are a huge and comfortable. The entire place is an oasis. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. It’s located in the Medina of Fes and calling it a labyrinth would be an understatement. Upon our checkout they kindly carried our bags through this maze and hailed a taxi - and negotiated with the driver (a must do) to get us to the train station. The morning breakfasts were massive, just when you think they could not get more plates on the table they come...

"The riad is very nice, nicely renovated. It is quiet at night and the location is great for during the day, you can reach old town within minutes by foot. The room was comfy and so was the bed, pillows etc. The person who checked us in and helped us with most things, his name is Driss, was super nice, very helpful and makes all the difference in this little hotel. The only thing you have to be careful with is parking. We didn't manage to find the upper parking lot (it's one way and incorrect...

Palais Faraj Suites & Spa

Fes El Bali

10/10 Excellent

We were thrilled with our decision to stay here and even ended up spending an extra night. It's a quick and easy walk to the Medina - by Bab (door) Ziat. The dinner restaurant is spectacular in regard to the food and views. The bar also has a wonderful view and a great place to go for a drink. The rooms were spacious and decadent in our opinion. The SPA was a true treat and I'd highly recommend doing a tleast one hamam if not two!

What a privilege to be a guest at Karawan Riad! A rare gem in the Medina Fes el Bali! Excellent service, dining, spa, design and architecture! The people at the Riad are beyond professional, courteous, kind and accommodating. I felt at home. Karawan Riad is truly a definition of a luxury small hotel and very special to my heart. An exquisite place! I cannot wait to go back! Thank you kindly for such a great hospitality!

This property was top notch! I wish everyplace met the standards as this hotel offers. There are three restaurants inside the hotel. One French, one Moroccan and the last Lebanese on the rooftop where there also exist a stunning bar. Plus they had a DJ. The latter was more tapas plates. The food was so good. Our drinks were tasty. We had our laundry serviced while here. It was a bit pricy so discuss cost first if you don’t want any surprises. Our room was large, clean, bed amazing, the bathroom...

our family loved this hotel experience the most of our two week trip. The owner, who is charm personified, has spent a lot of time, energy and money into rebuilding this traditional Riad into an eye popping beauty. Fez is quite a challenging city as a tourist and it was lovely to have a haven to return to. Mohamed as waiter and immediate friend who lives near the blue gate, was always upbeat and willing to go the extra mile. Cant say enough positive things about this hotel - the dinner the...

I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel - it was fabulous! It is on a hill overlooking the medina, and the view is unbelievable. However, it does mean that you have to take a cab to the medina. Lovely pool and great breakfast buffet. Luxurious rooms with 2 king beds. The concierge went out of his way to look after my friend and I (2 women traveling alone), which was much appreciated. I highly recommend staying here.

One of the best properties in the world ! So beautiful and authentic ! Everything was perfect at this luxurious palace. The location is ideal inside the Medina. Service was extremely professional. The centuries old garden and pools are gorgeous ! The spa is amazingly beautiful ! We have been stunned by the lavish beauty of this extraordinary luxury hotel. The suite was very large with fabulous typical decoration and a very luxurious bathroom with a very modern jaccuzi. The value for price is...
