"What was good: Location is very good. Staff particularly Tina (the lady that operates the elevators) was incredibly friendly and she would go above and beyond to help!! Rooms are spacious with a great view of the falls. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are very sound proof. Things that are not so good: (there is really nothing that would make me not stay here again, but there are a few subtle things that would make things even better) Very nice fridge in the room, but no microwave. Two beautiful TVs, but limited channels ( had to leave my room to watch Sunday Night Football) Water pressure in the shower was low."

"I booked a room with a view of the Falls, and that truly made my stay meaningful. I enjoyed waking up to the beautiful view each day, and it was definitely the highlight of my experience. The room was spacious enough, and the beds were comfortable. The most disappointing part of my stay was the lack of proper room service. I was informed that housekeeping needed to be requested, which I understood. However, when I requested fresh towels and replacement trash bags, I was told they would be provided upon my return to the hotel. Instead, I found a bag containing the towels and trash bags hanging outside my door. Given the hotel’s reputation and its prime location, I found this approach rather tacky and not in keeping with the level of service I would expect for the price I paid. Guests should also be aware that parking costs $50 CAD per night, which adds significantly to the overall cost of the stay. Additionally, there was a resort fee that I was neither aware of nor informed about at check-in. I only discovered this additional charge on the day of checkout, which was frustrating. Overall, the view was wonderful, and the room itself was comfortable, but the housekeeping experience and lack of transparency regarding additional fees took away from what could have been a much better stay. For a hotel in such a desirable location with its associated price point, I would expect more attentive service and clearer communication about all costs upfront. I did enjoy my stay."

"Wonderful stay! We loved being close to the hustle and bustle of the falls but having a quiet place to relax. Breakfast was delicious and our hostess was very accommodating! We stayed in the executive apartment and the house is old but charming, which came with things like creaky floors and doors. But the bathroom was nice and the shower updated, with hot water and good pressure, and the kitchen had just enough of the essentials for our weekend stay. (We looked for aluminum foil to use the toaster oven but didn’t find any, and that’s the only thing I’d suggest to add)"

"The house is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our party was comprised of me, my husband, daughter, son-in-law & (almost) 2yr-old grandson. The owners did a great job of including every amenity one might need - including laundry pods. There are two washers & two dryers in the basement which would be very handy for larger groups. My husband tried the grill in anticipation of grilling dinner later on & discovered it was out of propane. He texted Paul, the co-owner, who was very pleasant, and got it re-filled promptly. There's a very nice walkway across the street that goes to the start of the town (then you just use the regular sidewalks to Clifton Hill). It's .9 miles, which might be too long for some folks, but we love walking and it was great to leave the cars behind. There's a corner store called "Frasers Grocery," which is unassuming from the outside, but well-stocked and super convenient (corner of Morrison St & St Clair Ave). And if you're traveling with little ones, A.J. McKinley Park has a nice playground and tennis courts next to it. The park & courts are also a convenient walk. Ultimately, the Maple Leaf House was a very nice choice and we highly recommend October! Far fewer crowds and gorgeous weather!"
