"Lovely place lovely people. If you want to get away from the mob this is the place. Beautiful setting. Lovely food. Reception were very helpful as were all the staff. Only negatives I have are the Villas are up a big hill so have a car or be fit. Also the pool at the villa wasn’t ready (on and cleaned) on the Saturday we arrived, wasn’t sorted until we said something on the Monday. But was sorted very quickly."

"This was our First trip to Crete, this resort was on the quite side, so if you looking to unwind and relax , this is the place. The meals were pretty good and the desserts amazing. The staff were pretty friendly although I find the bar staff at the pool could be a bit more friendlier. "

"A comfortable hotel with lovely views of the sea and great breakfasts. But the second night of our stay was spoiled by a spillage of oil somewhere in the hotel - the overwhelming and acrid smell of diesel fumes permeated our room for the rest of the night, making sleep difficult or impossible.The manager said that he could move us to another hotel since the hotel itself was fully booked, At 11pm at night this was hardly a practical solution. No other solution was offered. We were told that the smell would disappear within a few hours but it was still powerfully present in the morning despite the fact that the windows were wide open. A sad end to stay should have been a special stay."

"CELESTINE beach villa exceeded our expectations, even the gorgeous photos of the property do not do it full justice. The hosts and staff were fantastic responding to our requests, bookings and changes in plans. We booked one massage and in-residence chef services for one fabulous dinner called the Hellenic Surprise, with authentically cooked Cretan dishes. The villa was impecably clean. The location could not have been better, the back of the villa with the ocean, beach and restaurants, and the front of the villa facing the little village, and within walking distance of all amenities. The villa is large and offers various areas to sit in the sun or the shade and to find a quiet corner to read. The welcome basket was appreciated, and the host arranged to purchase our list of desired food to be at the residence upon arrival. Many, many thanks to Alexandra and her wonderful staff. "While the staff were very friendly the hotel was very limited insofar as amenities. The room was not well prepared with bathroom plumbing requiring emergency repair to render it safe. Even with that repair it was a very ‘rustic’ room with little comfort. The most difficult aspect of the hotel was the 90 stairs that had to be climbed to access the room! This was not for the faint of heart and should be highlighted in the description."
