A Shipping Container Experience

"We really enjoy finding unique stays, and the Riverside Hideout shipping container is a gem! Tiny but mighty! Ryann is a great host with great communication. We also appreciated that there was no tv and wifi was optional so we could intentionally disconnect a bit. There’s no shortage of things to do even in the Hideout. Plenty of board games, guestbooks to peruse, the hidden dollar hunt :) We enjoyed everything- the hot tub, a cozy fire in the fire pit, morning Yahtzee with the giant dice on the deck and a hot cuppa keurig coffee… We had 2 days and one night for our mini retreat. We also went kayaking on the Tusc. using NTR livery in Bolivar, lunch at Canal Street Diner there too, Miller’s Creamery for ice cream in New Philadelphia, the Age of Steam Roundhouse museum in Sugarcreek, and the annual Harvest Festival and rib cook-off in Berlin. There’s lots to do- or not do :) in and near Dover and Riverside Hideout as a “home base” is just right!"

"Beautiful, peaceful and nice little getaway house. Awesome pool however pool was full of leaves and in description of the house it says heated pool the pool was freezing. Other than that I would recommend to others I enjoyed my stay"
Cottage type private house in quiet neighborhood

"This was an old home built in early 1939's - so almost 100! And because it is old, there are very steep stairs going up to bedroom. And for older folks, it's really not a good match. We had to come down sideways, holding tightly to the banister. There wasn't a handrail on wall side which would have helped. And the steps from back porch going down to the backyard were also narrow & at different heights which made them difficult as well taking our dog out, especially when it rained & they were wet! But over all the house was very clean & had comfortable beds. And only having the bathroom upstairs by bedroom was a little inconvenient. Maybe for young people, it woyld work fine, but for those in our mid-late 70's, not so much. The hosts were very nice as was next door neighbor. They could improve on their supplies better by having name brand detergents, soaps & paper goods. Most were from the dollar store."
