"So this place is amazing and the room specs are awesome. The food is great in the restaurants (albeit the menu never changed the whole time we were there which was 8 nights and ws a little limited) The atmosphere is very chill, a little chic and so quite lovely and it is family friendly which is super nice. It is actually a lovely place to spend time in the day - especially by the main pool. But there are some limitations - they can not do room service (i know it sounds odd but they can't) We waited 1.5 hours for 3 bottles of wine and after that one of the bottles was wrong (we asked fo red and it was white). We had our child's 8th birthday there and we paid for a cake ( two days in advance) it arrived melted and unusable with no candles and when were given the candles there was no lighter (just poor). We ordered again (i know why did we) one night and the pizza wa wrong, the drinks were missing, the sides were omitted - it was just a disastaster and to be ones it let the whole experience down - we tried 3 times to enjoy the benefits of having a two bed suite with pool and we couldn't because the set up of staff is so thin that they cant do room service - which at 20K a week isn't good enough! its jy's not. Sorry guys on the team - but its rubbish and we wouldn't stay again until this is fixed."

"This property is a little oasis hidden away. While a bit tricky to get to as you have to drive on unpaved roads, it's worth it once you get there. The room had everything we needed, and the breakfast was wonderful and included local products. The location is quite rural, however, the closest town (Ourique) was only a 15 minute drive away. It's not a big town by any means, but there were a few restaurant options and a Pingo Doce and an Aldi for groceries. The only thing preventing this from being a 5 star stay was the atmosphere during our stay due to other guests. There happened to be a large family who booked during the same time as us and they completely took over the pool area. As the location is in such a quiet area and there isn't a ton to do, we were looking forward to sitting by the beautiful pool and relaxing in the afternoon. That was tainted by children screaming and jumping into the pool, in addition to them bringing a speaker and playing loud music for hours. They were having a good time and the property is family friendly so perhaps our fault for not inquiring, but if you're looking for a quiet getaway, this may not be the place to book. While it wasn't the stay we were hoping for, the staff and accommodation itself was wonderful."

"Perfect spot to stay in the centre of São Bras de Alportel, with easy parking to then explore on foot. A range of restaurants and cafés, plus a local supermarket and Pingo Doce if you want to take a snack back to your room, to eat on your balcony. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel is traditional, but has modern air con with a lift for all floors. The rooms are well kept and very clean, with a mini fridge and flat screen TV. Thank you Monica and the Breakfast chef for a lovely stay."

"We had a fabulous stay at Villa Luzia. We travelled as an extended family party with 4 adults and 5 kids aged 17-8. Accommodations were excellent, plenty of space for everyone. The photos don’t actually do it justice as the villa is well decorated and more substantial than the photos display. The pool is fantastic and again very clean. We did a few day trips into nearby loule to visit the Saturday market, Zoomarine, vilamoura and to the close by Mar shopping centre. Car hire probably would make your life easier but we managed with one car and used Ubers also. Ubers are very easy to get and reasonably priced. Fantastic stay, we definitely hope to return."
