"The host canceled my stay a couple of hours before we were due to arrive leaving me stranded on the side of the road with 4 kids and nowhere to go. When contacting the host to ask what happened, they stated that vrbo confirmed the reservation without their approval. Not sure what exactly happened here but make sure your reservation is confirmed by the host prior to your arrival."

"I have visited Playa Hermosa for many years. It is a magical place. Denise's property is in the heart of the location. Her property is an ode to this. You will be surrounded by the rich and varied flora and fauna. A calm and beautiful retreat. It is tranquil, clean and well-maintained.The magnificent beach is only a 5 minute walk directly down the road.The nighttime is so beautifully quiet, except for the nightbirds, their song a lovely sound.Across from the property is an excellent cafe with a extensive menu of fresh foods.A shout out to Kristi and Casey, who mange the day to day of Halfmoon and Fullmoon. They are responsive, super friendly and very experienced.We loved our two week stay. "

"The best part of our stay was the communication with Kristi, the owner. It began before we even arrived. In fact, she helped us with our ferry booking so we had a ticket when we arrived at the ferry terminal. As I told her, I’ve never experienced an owner sharing olf their time as she did. Responses were immediate every time. Information and recommendations were accurate.The beach! If you like beach walks with great sunsets, do not miss this one! We did several 4 mile walks on a beautiful beach that offers plenty of shade breaks when it gets too hot.The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and spices, which allowed us to cook several delicious meals.Beautiful decks on both floor levels with a great view of the beach.One warning- the driveway is steep with loose gravel. Nothing requiring four wheel drive, but steep enough you will want to have a little speed to get up it. Very minor but worth being aware of.The restaurant right at the corner of the road is a very easy walk and the food is excellent. Good choices on the menu.Great visit! Great location. Great owner!"
