"Staff, service and food were excellent. Exactly when you'd come to expect from a Holiday Inn. Sadly however the room looked tired and in need of some much needed TLC with a distinct lack of beside plugs and although the room was at far end of the building and away from general foot traffic it was right above the air handling units and plant so was noisey at night. The pool and locker rooms werent much better. The locker room was dirty (however, it was late in the day) and there was a nasty smell and the pool generally needed a refresh. All in all.though if you just need a base for a few days close to the motorway and Meadowhall with good food then this is worth a look. "

"Room was clean and had everything we needed, with the nice addition of some balloons and a birthday message on our return after a day out for our daughter, having told them why we were there on arrival. Staff really helpful throughout. Last minute decision to eat in the bar area (restaurant fully booked) provided us with nice meals, which was against some of the reviews we had read, so I am assuming improvements have been made. Drink choices were good. Breakfast was also good. My wife assured me the full English was tasty, the alternatives I could have were all very nice. Quick use of the pool on our second day before breakfast. It was popular, but everything was clean. Didn’t get chance to use jacuzzi or steam and sauna unfortunately. Only gripe was people smoking directly outside/slightly in, the entrance lobby, but that is just how some people are. I guess even if they were asked to step 3metres to the side they wouldn’t. But one for the reception staff to at least try? "

"Nice clean room with plenty of tea & coffee making ingredients which could be replenishing at the hotel bar. Good selection of breakfast options and the hot items were cooked to order. "

"Stayed here with my son and we both really enjoyed our stay. Room was perfect. Very clean, tidy and spacious. Beds were Comfortable and the room had everything required to make our stay comfortable. Staff at reception were all friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend it and would definitely return "

"Room was average for a Hilton. Pillowbwere excellent but the bed was hard. TV was only slightly bigger than a portable ana didn't accept my fire stick so unable to watch iPlayer etc. Poor really when you consider the cost of the rooms. Pricea in the restaurant for food was over the top. 22.50 for a steak pie is obscene. I stay for work and they pay. But I wouldn't if I was paying "

"Clean and tidy. Night time staff not so sure of what they needed to do. For example, I paid for parking but they didn’t give us a ticket to display in the car which could have resulted in a fine for us. It was only after we asked that a ticket was produced. "

"Nice clean room, perfect for what we needed. Cooked breakfast wasn't amazing but the kids loved it and the continental breakfast was lovely. For the price we paid for two nights you would spend that on two breakfasts for 4 people. Would recommend "
