"Aaaaaah Serene by the Sea. What a perfect name. I booked my flight and stay on a Monday and landed in Aruba that following Friday. Being an entrepreneur + lawyer + living in New York City = as you can imagine, I was in desperate need of some serious R&R. Serene by the Sea was everything I needed for my solo trip and more! When I arrived, I was greeted by the owner and her son (I believe) who were happy to welcome me and take me to my room. I dropped by bags off and could not get my bathing suit on fast enough to get out and enjoy the sun, the sea, and the beautiful scenery. I woke every morning to grab some sun and the delicious breakfast made by the house chef (who is the owner's brother and also doubles as a driver and tour guide if you need one). I took daily naps in a hammock while listening to crashing waves. I sat out on the beach chairs journaling, listening to relaxing music on my little speaker, and just having some good 'ol quality time with God. Before I headed out, I had a lovely massage on the Serene Floating Massage deck. What a lovely, relaxing experience! There is a sign that says "come as guests and leave as friends" and this is so true! If you're in need of some quiet time and relaxation away from the noise of everyday life, I highly recommend you consider Serene by the Sea. You won't regret it!"

"Fantastic! I am not much on crowds and this was relatively isolated with great sunrise/moonrise views from the patio. The house was hard to find so we contacted the owner who met us at a store and led us to the location. The decent sized pool was well enjoyed by us, usually 2-3 times a day. We rarely saw the homeowners unless there was an issue, or they wanted to say goodbye. It was centrally located on the island, close to Arikok National Park and easy drive to the busier western coast and the lovely beaches found there. We ended up cooking most of our meals and the kitchen was well supplied for our needs. We found out pretty quickly that the micro-sized ants could get into our food readily, so the refrigerator was used to thwart their daily raids. The bedroom was comfortable with an AC to make sleeping easy in the fairly warm, windy weather. There were several somewhat friendly cats and a dog or two that wandered by to visit. The yard had strings of lights set up, at the ready if you needed them after the sun set. It was so hard to leave this beautiful desert oasis."

"Please do not go to coral reef. It’s a terrible place. The picture you see online is not real; the bathroom is full of mold, the shared kitchen is dirty; the owner is a ripoff and l can go on and on. I had to leave after 2 nights even though my stay was supposed to be 5 nights. So go figure. Terrible terrible place. There was construction being done on the premises and loud noise of banging from the workers was disturbing. If you prefer a run down place, Coral Reef is for you! Don’t waste your money and l have videos to prove my point."

"Wonderful place to stay! Enjoyed having my coffee in the serene back patio every morning. Frank was wonderful and took the time to stop and give us all the tips on local restaurants and activities we could partake in. Great place to stay! Not crazy busy like the other part of the island, safe and quiet location, small grocery store 1/2 block away, baby beach short drive away. We would come back here again anytime. "
