The room was large and well set up. It was very clean. Only a sheet and thin coverlet on the bed - I would have liked a blanket. A short walk to the beach (two blocks?) Entry by code was great, but could have been nerve-wracking if my phone had run out of battery while out on the beach or if I left my phone in the room. I guess there are issues with leaving keys, too, though. It may be obvious desk clerks have been visited by me due to lost keys on occasion.

On our first night, we spent some time in the pool. My daughter went to ask the front desk for towels and the staff was rude to her. They said, "are there not any in the bin"? This place is wonderful! The man checking me in was friendly and helpful. My room (all rooms?) has an ocean side balcony with chairs, which love. After spending several days at an old hotel on the beach, this hotel was a welcome change. Reasonably located to the beach, if you wanted to spend some time there. The hotel itself is very nice, in good condition, and quiet. The room was clean, and the beds very comfortable. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The free breakfast was good, the staff better; they kept the breakfast area well stocked. The hotel is conveniently located near historic Swansboro, and plenty of great food.
