I found the staff on the front desk especially helpful when I faced two distressing situations: 1) My wallet was pickpocketed on May 24, 2025, and the staff assisted me in locating a Western Union office that could provide funds transferred to me from home: 2) When I was scheduled to depart on May 28 all the taxis, Ubers, and shuttle busses were on strike and I was hesitant to take the Metro to the airport. Young Billy, who worked at the hotel, assisted with my suitcase and took me to the Metro station where he purchased my ticket for me and gave me specific written directions on which train to take, when to get off to switch to a different train on a different line. He was so assuring that signage in English would be adequate and I could manage the trip with no difficulty. He was right! It was a real pleasure to travel on the Metro.
