Chic hotel with a really delicious breakfast. Unfortunately the hotel focuses slightly too much on form over function, both loo and bathroom are only separated from the room by a curtain (leaving little to the imagination). The shower was an extension over the bath which led to a lot of water on the floor, towels and said curtains. Also there is a fairly hard sell on items in the hotel, with products and price tags all over the room, while the arrival chat included a point to the online shop. Lovely rooftop bar and if asked in advance breakfast can be served up there.

We loved everything about this hotel. And every single member of staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious (and served beautifully) and the rooftop bar was such a treat. It’s also in a great location. Would recommend and definitely stay again if we’re lucky enough to find ourselves in Athens.

Mona is one of the best hotels i’ve ever been and has been my second time here. This time we managed to book a smaller room without balcony. As updated in the hotel’s ownnweb page, the room is quite intimate in the sense that there’s no separate toilet, it’s just separated by a curtain. Besides, the bath tube comes with a shower type itself but since it’s not a shower area, floor gets rather wet when you try to use it as a shower. Unfortunately the saddest part of our stay was the extreme noise from the bar downstairs. Being open until 4 o’clock in the morning, i hardly recommend staying in lower floors. Firts time we stayed in 4th floor i guess and our bed was not directly located on the top of the bar, i suppose so it made a huge difference. The staff, the breakfast, the terrace, amenities all were perfect as before. I never regret staying there but would consider choosing the room suitable for my needs, next time. Thanks to the amazing Mona team, again 💜

More than perfect!

Our stay was much more than perfect! I really don’t know how I would stay in any place rather than here in terms of comfort, service and design. One of the very best experiences of my stays in a hotel. So thankful to the team and the owners for all the details. I know i’ll come back here and expect the same level of satisfaction and definitely gonna miss the breakfast so much!

This hotel had great staff, delicious breakfast and was in a lively location. The room felt like it was decorated by an artist. The cons were that the room was tiny, no chair or room for suitcases and the toilet area was only separated by a curtain from the sleeping area.

What a cool unique property. It’s in an old textile mill. They have kept many unique parts from the mill. Hotel has an amazing rooftop bar. You couldn’t ask for a better location for dining and nightlife. The hotel staff was so very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was awesome!

This was a great little hotel. Everything is design forward with special care given to the details. The rooms are a bit small, but consistent with the norm in Europe. The room also has a big soaking tub which is awesome, but packed a "normal" shower. Again, pretty typical hand shower for Europe, but some Americans may want a traditional shower. The biggest thing to note though is that the toilet is only separated from the rest of the room by a curtain so you better be on good terms with anyone else in the room because you're going to get to know things about each other you may not have wanted to know. Despite some of these quirks though. I did love my stay there. So convenient to everything, incredible warm staff, and lovely design. Would recommend!

The rooms were clean but there was a lot of noise from the bar downstairs until late at night. If your room is on the lower floors, you may have difficulty sleeping. The street where the hotel is located constantly smells of urine. There is constant discomfort when entering and leaving the hotel. There is no problem with the location or cleanliness of the hotel, it is very good.

The breakfast is next level - practically gourmet and substantial. Location is fantastic. All the sites are in walking distance and there are loads of restaurants and bars and shops around. Very close to the metro if you use it as well. The room is spacious, bohemian and rustic. Like an art studio. Super comfortable bed, and you get lovely amenities in the room. There's an ipad you can use you easily communicate, watch shows, connect to the Marshall speakers and use their custom playlist. Bar the first night when they had a private event in the basement and it was like trying to sleep in the middle of a club ( I was on the first floor), Mona is perfect.

Too good to miss, a great stay at Mona Athens

The Mona is centrally based for all attractions. The communication with the hotel was excellent before departing the UK. Due to very late didn’t arrive at Mona until 0300. No matter room ready night staff expecting us and seamless process. The decor is brilliant around hotel and in room. Room was spacious clean and we loved it. If that isn’t enough breakfast was sensational. The final twist is the roof top honesty bar where you get a wonderful night time view of the illuminated Acropolis.

there was sewer smell in our room (which did get better each time we turned on air conditioner, but air conditioner automatically went off each time we left room) I told them about it when we checked out (only there 2 nights) and they apologized and said they would look into it but did no compensation. Rooftop bar and breakfast were very nice. They had a "wine tasting event" which just ended up being an outside wine rep who poured you about 10 drops of 2 different wines and wanted you to buy a glass or bottle directly from him.

It’s very central and no more than 15 minutes walking to almost all the places we wanted to visit. I was initially thrown off by the number of homeless people outside and on the road adjacent, but they do not bother you. The staff are helpful and friendly. Check in is easy. The rooms are very large and really good value. So picturesque, although dark. I wish the full length mirror was in the entrance if the room rather than the toilet. The iPad was very useful and there is a speaker so you don’t have to bring your own. Everything is clean. The breakfast is delicious and since there are not many options, you can try everything even if you have a short stay. The best Orange juice I’ve had! My only gripe is that it can be noisy on the street outside so if you are a light sleeper, please be aware. We did stay over a weekend, maybe it’s quieter in the week and my boyfriend did open the window. Overall, I loved my stay at Mona and would stay here each time we visit Athens.
