Unfortunately, the stay felt far less like a vacation and far more like living under observation.The host lives in an attached casita sharing a wall with the living room—an exciting surprise for anyone expecting privacy. Add to that the impressive number of exterior cameras, and it quickly became apparent this wasn’t a passive hosting situation. At times it genuinely felt like someone was sitting in front of a Mission Control–style wall of monitors, watching and waiting, except instead of launching Artemis II, the focus was on guests quietly existing.On our final day, a small group of teammates stopped by briefly during the middle of the day. They had already checked out of their own rentals and were simply waiting for flights home out of PHX, so they came to sit calmly on the back patio and kill time. No music. No alcohol. No noise. No party. No dancing. No slumber party. Just quiet conversation in daylight.While we understand the listing states a maximum of 10 guests, the immediate leap to “party” accusations and enforcement—based solely on camera observation—felt disproportionate and intrusive.If you’re looking for a pristine property and don’t mind strict oversight, active monitoring, surprise host proximity, and the general sensation of being watched from Mission Control, this may be the place for you. If you value privacy, autonomy, and actually relaxing on vacation, you may want to look elsewhere."
