The hotel was very secure 24/7. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. The chefs created a culinary experience with their dishes. The property is well maintained and very clean. This was a wonderful first experience at a boutique hotel

Our stay was fantastic in a room with a wonderful view of the Laguna. The property is like a little oasis, filled with plants, flowers, private areas for dining and a swimming pool overlooking the water. The chef is over the top, best food we have had in Mexico! Staff was great and super professional.

Stunning stay

We had a great 2 night stay at Puerta del Cielo. From the moment we checked in the staff were so attentive, there were so many little details that meant a lot. We had several meals during our stay and everything we ate not only looked like art, but was outstanding. Luis the head chef was so helpful with tips of things to see and do and places to eat outside of the hotel.

Serene, beautiful property with a great lagoon view. Super easy parking and secure entrance. We stayed in two room types and thought both were excellent (lagoon view suite, and partial lagoon view room). The overall vibe was nice with chill electronic music playing and waiters roaming to make sure you had all you needed, the food an drinks were excellent (ate multiple meals during our stay). Only critique would be that the lounge chairs facing the lagoon are limited in number, and other guests would hold them by placing a towel down even though they would not show back up for hours, leaving no chairs left to enjoy - wish the hotel would put a policy about this.

El Cielo was such a wonderful place to visit Bacalar. Staff was very attentive. The view is amazing. breakfast was delicious and the drink cocktails were very good. The room view was partial lake view. The property grounds were so beautiful. Our room was comfortable and quiet

Beautiful property with beautiful rooms. We arrived to a delicious cold complimentary cocktail. The staff were very helpful with everything from carrying our luggage, changing us to a room with a better view as per their own suggestion. The pool and jetty areas are beautiful, and they will let you reserve to eat dinner here. The restaurant was very nice, and the cocktails were great. Perfect place to relax

Exceptional service and food!

Me and my love had the most amazing stay at Puerta Del Cielo, the staff was incredibly service minded and tended to all of our needs. The food was simply amazing and we really just wanted to try it all. The price for the hotel and food was nothing compared to what you received. Everything about this place was outstanding and I cannot recommend it enough!! Simply the best expletive both me and my love has had in a while. Please go there and be generous with your tip!

Puerta Del Cielo is a place that1 1minute by minute as you spend time there you notice the beautiful care and attwnrion to the details in everything from the room irself, the restrooms and showers, the jacuzzi tub, etc. Down to the stone walls, bar area, the lighted pools etc. Everithing invites you to relax and enjoy life. In addition the entirr staff were truly wonderful. Just simply a place to go back anytime you can.
