This is an outstanding place. It’s no accident that they have earned a Best of Baltimore award 12 years in a row. Gracious hosts, delicious cooked breakfasts, the run of a Victorian mansion stuffed with beautiful antiques and interesting memorabilia from the host’s remarkable career in the US Navy. Tranquillity is breakfast on fine china, crystal glasses and silverware, listening to Mozart and studying the intricacies of the model ships on display. Highly recommended.

The property is unique and the decor is very artistic and interesting. The attention to detail was wonderful and the accommodations were very nice. The area is less than 10 min walk to the main drag in Hamden where there are many nice restaurants, and it was quick to get a rideshare. It was a little less nice in some of the surrounding area though. My main frustration is that I had to download an app to get the door codes. AND they sent only the numbers but no instructions. We loved our quick little stay and will absolutely return when we come back to Baltimore! The bed was comfy, bath was cozy, water hot, room finishings quaint and old fashioned in really lovely way. Breakfasts were good with lots of cute touches and so nice to take in our room together. The staff was absolutely awesome and everyone we spoke to was so kind and helpful!

Our stay at the Four Seasons was excellent from valet parking, front desk, housekeeper to room service. The customer service was unbelievable. The hotel was so dog friendly. We even had water bowls and Milk Bone treats at the front for the dogs. The restaurant was so great and convenient. The staff was really helpful.

This is a cool and unusual hotel. If you have mobility issues...maybe this is not the hotel for you as the entrance steps are steep and there is a set outside and another inside to get to the front desk. This hotel is dark and moody and medieval in decor. It might not be for everyone but it was so quirky and different that we loved it. Our room had a canopy bed and we felt like princess and queen!
