"Very cozy lodge next to Shenandoah. Perfect for day hikers like us: comfortable bed, nice rain shower and good coffee - everything we really needed to restore our strength was at the lodge. The lock in our room was tricky, but the staff helped solve the issue promptly. Will stay here again."

"Host was quick to respond to any questions/concerns.It would have been nice to know ahead of time that the bathtub in the "guest" bathroom had a good crack in it. Due to not wanting to risk making the crack worse by using that bathtub, it put 4 of us sharing the one in the master bathroom. Host did say he was having it checked after we leave.The home is beautiful and updated. It's not right in town but close for convenience. Neighborhood was pretty quit except for the 2 trains that ran through every night.Was disappointed that they only offered decaf pods. Beds were comfortable. Loved that there were ceiling fans.Living room furniture was quite uncomfortable. My biggest hesitation to book this one again would be the uncomfortable living room furniture and the fact that hosts ask guests to start the laundering process for the kitchen"

"We had a fantastic stay at Afton Cottage! It was cozy, comfortable, clean, and close in proximity to so many wonderful hikes, wineries, breweries, and restaurants. We enjoyed the pretty views and quiet downtime in the cottage. Tom and Jackie are perfect hosts who have thought of everything."

"This was a very clean and comfortable accommodation Communicating with the owner was accomplished, no thanks to VRBO. Concerns were answered quickly. The screened in gazebo was especially nice to sit and relax in the shade. The area was very quiet and safe and convenient to local attractions. A really pleasant stay"

"We really enjoyed staying at this property for a family wedding at Sky Ridge Farm. The property is super interesting to explore and get outside. We said hello and fed the donkeys; found the sweet cat; visited the greenhouse and tasted the delicious cherry tomatoes (given to us from the host). The house was perfect for our family to relax and enjoy each others company. Thank you to our host for making our weekend so easy and the experience so much better."

"As people who traveled with a 115 lb dog, this location was amazing. Contactless and straight-forward check-in and check-outs; we had an issue with our code at first but an easy phone call resulted in a quick solution. Property is well maintained and embraces the nature in the area. Overall, great location with great access to help."
