"Enjoyed our start at the Royal Hotel Carlton. The proximity to the Central train station was convenient for our arrival from Florence as well as our departure to the airport the next day. It’s also a 15 min walk from the Piazza Maggiore which made it easy to explore Bologna for the day we were there."

"The main disappointment leading to our lesser enjoyment of this booking was the fact that breakfast was not ultimately included, despite being advertised as such and included in the booking price. Instead we were told to grab a croissant and coffee across the street. In addition, consider better signage for travellers to find the hotel more easily. We had to guess at where exactly we needed to go and that is a hassle."

"Couldnt fault the hotel. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and location couldnt have been better. However, being in the centre of the city the noise outside the hotel on Friday and Saturday night went on until about 3.30 which made it impossible to sleep. Great the other two nights though."

"The room was fantastic. It was farther from centrale than originally shown, but was still just a short taxi or bus ride away. Checkin would have been easy (all online) but the website would not let me use my camera which wasted hours for me. If you stay more than 1day BYO TP & soap. Other than that the room was clean, comfortable, and convenient. I have no complaints. "

"Fantastic central location! Wonderful view from the balcony of our ‘family room’. No on-site reception, but prompt and friendly responses to all requests through WhatsApp. They do clearly state their limited reception hours but I got responses to concerns right away. Had a little trouble finding our room the first time but well worth the challenge! ( Interior gate is right next to Feltrinelli’s bookstore.)
