"I feel like this place needs a lot of work. Was a two ton hydraulic jack holding up the bathroom sink. A strip holding on an outside light. Nothing stands out as bad, but there’s a lot of work that needs to happen."

"We found this place just off the main road in Ocracoke. A wonderful property with great nautical themes throughout. We were only there briefly, overnight but will be our choice should we get back."

"This property was wonderful!! We hope to make it a yearly trip. Peaceful and quiet and only 45 min to Beaufort! We saw dolphins, pelicans, blue herons, crabs and caught a few fish! Couldn’t have been better. The Laudermilks were great hosts and have thought of everything to make the vacation home perfect!"

"The Lucky Buc was exactly what we hoped it would be. Clean, well maintained, off the beaten path. We were there during the nor’easter, couldn’t get off the island. Russell stayed in constant contact with us during the extra days so we could continue to enjoy our stay. Rent the golf cart you’ll be glad you did. Highly recommend this bungalow and these owners. They are good people."

"We loved this inn, it was so cute! We had room 109, I believe, and we had our own personal parking spot right by our room. The views are beautiful and we would definitely stay there again!"

"This is a vary attractive small property near the ferry at Ocracoke. I liked that it was very clean and tidy. The bedspreads and throw rugs were attractive and clean. Bedrooms are small but we only needed 2 and used the others as dressing rooms. Location is wonderful, as it’s near Silver Lake. It was nice that there were spices and cleaning supplies available. Great stay!"

"Nice little cottage we stayed on the beach all day came up showered and went out at night. So didn’t do much else there but sleep and shower. Convenient they have a golf cart you can rent and it’s cheaper then renting form the golf cart places."
