"Cabin was clean, beautiful and well-furnished. The area was very quiet with great views across the lake and of the fall foliage. Good access to the north entrance of Lake Itasca state park (about 25-30 min drive), which was the main reason we visited this area. It was lovely to come back to this cabin after a day exploring the park. The host was very quick to respond to questions and very helpful."

"The Perfect Getaway! We spent lots of time in the beautiful autumn weather taking in fall colors in the surrounding state parks. Don’t miss The Lost Forty and the Mississippi Headwaters. Returning to our little cabin in the woods felt like a hug each evening when we returned. Small and well-thought out, Shell Cabin had everything you need without a lot of clutter. A grade on this VRBO!"

"Great stay!!!! If you’re staying around the Itasca area this would be perfect. 1 min away from the north entrance and across the street is a gas station with anything you need from food to beer! 2 mins down the road is Lobos bar and grill, great place to eat! "

"We enjoyed our stay. It was a great location with easy access to Itasca. It was quiet and quaint. Loved sitting out on the porch in the mornings and evenings enjoying the view of the trees and listening to the birds. We did have a problem with quite a few flies in the house, but the host was responsive and brought us a fly swatter. But overall, we loved the place. The bugs were definitely not a deal breaker, just a minor annoyance. Would definitely recommend this cabin to others visiting the area"

"Lovely resort, super clean, well thought out, friendly, gem of a resort. The restaurant was really good too. We plan on coming back with our family every year at least once! Our kids loved the playground and the event center too! Would love to have an actual pool for kids instead of just a jacuzzi."
